You should never be afraid to smile. We offer a wide range of cosmetic dental procedures to give you the smile that you’ve always dreamed of. Everyone’s teeth are unique, and so are their cosmetic needs. Maybe you just have one tooth that you don’t like, or you have several that you would prefer to be reshaped. Our team of dentists can work directly with you to translate your desires into a smile that you’ll want to share wherever you go.
Maybe you’re happy with everything about your teeth, but you just wish they were whiter. Perhaps you’ve thought about whitening trays or over the counter whitening treatments, but you just don’t have the time. Maybe you have a big job interview or formal event that has come up and you need to make a great impression.
ZOOM whitening is an in-office procedure that allows our patients to visit and leave the office with whiter, brighter teeth. A special whitening gel is used, but the key is an in-office UV light treatment that speeds up the process. Unlike home whitening remedies, shades are changed dramatically with just one treatment, resulting in the dazzling smile you have always dreamed of.
Sinsational Smiles are a new in-office whitening product available to patients. This system is more affordable and requires only one 20 minute treatment visit. Each Sinsational Smiles Whitening tray is pre-loaded with the appropriate amount of whitening gel and placed in the mouth. An LED light is used for 20 minutes to activate the whitening catalyst inside of the gel. It is ideally completed immediately after a cleaning visit to maximize the whitening potential. The patient brings home a maintenance whitening pen for nightly use. Patients may return to their dentist as frequent or infrequently as they need for boost appointments.
Whitening trays are custom appliances that we make to fit your unique smile. Unlike over the counter whitening trays that are one-size-fits-all, we take an impression of your mouth and generate a clear tray that fits perfectly. This allows you to place a prescription strength gel in the tray that will only go where you want it. No more messy strips or gel causing irritated, discolored gum tissue.
The gel we use in our professional whitening trays is stronger than anything that you can buy over the counter. Simply use it for 30 minutes once a day, up to two weeks for your initial whitening treatment. Touch-ups usually only take 3 or 4 days every few months, or after your preventative care appointments.
Dental Veneers are very thin restorations that cover the front and sides of your teeth, changing the way your teeth appear. They are comfortable and easy to place.
For smiles that have several discolored or misaligned teeth, veneers are a wonderful option. They are usually placed on the teeth that show when you smile, which is about 6 on the upper and 6 on the lower, depending on the patient’s mouth. Veneers are made of porcelain in a color that is selected by the patient and dentist. Our dentists will work with you to select a natural color for your profile, but one that also helps you achieve the esthetic results that you’re looking for.
Veneers change everything about the way your teeth look, and are one of the most dramatic treatments available for patients wanting a beautiful new smile. It is the easiest and quickest way to whiter, straighter teeth.
Sometimes whitening and veneers won’t be enough to correct a tooth in need of restorative treatment. Perhaps you have a large metal crown on a back tooth and it shows when you smile. Or maybe you have a front tooth with a fracture or large area of decay.
Restoring these areas with an all-ceramic crown is easy with our CEREC machine. Then entire restoration is made of a tooth colored material, so there will never be a dark metal line next to your gumline as can often be seen with traditional porcelain fused to metal crowns. Porcelain fused to metal crowns sometimes chip, leaving exposed metal below, which cannot be repaired without replacing the entire crown. CEREC ceramic crowns protect teeth without the chance of ever having an unsightly metal area showing. They are also strong and durable restorations. This makes them an appropriate restoration for every tooth in the mouth.
Bonding uses tooth colored, composite material to correct minor chips or aesthetic needs. Maybe you have a small chip in a front tooth, leaving it slightly uneven. Or perhaps there is a small space between 2 teeth that you would like to have closed. When bonding is placed in these areas it helps the smile to appear natural without more invasive treatments. The material comes in multiple shades to match the surrounding tooth structure so that it blends right in.
In areas of gum recession or abrasion, bonding is sometimes used to treat sensitivity. When part of a tooth’s root surface is exposed from lack of gingiva, the pores are very sensitive to temperature change. Placing bonding over these areas protects those pores and allows you to eat and drink normally, without hypersensitivity.
Teeth can sometimes have small chips, bumps or irregularities that draw attention to them. These areas can also be prone to stain buildup making them more noticeable. With cosmetic recontouring, Paradise Dental dentists can reshape minor irregularities in tooth anatomy, helping them to blend naturally with the surrounding teeth. Recontouring is commonly used following orthodontic treatments to smooth out the finished smile after the braces are removed.
Missing teeth are one of the most important treatment needs that we address . There is nothing more drastic than being able to replace a missing tooth in an open area of the mouth. While we think of it as a cosmetic procedure, it is most assuredly a very functional one. When other teeth compensate or your bite changes due to missing teeth, other teeth may wear incorrectly, shift or fracture due to increased stress.
We can replace single or multiple teeth for our patients by either using dental implants, fixed bridges, or full or partial dentures. Depending on what your bone health and needs are, you may have a variety of options to choose from.
Silver, or amalgam fillings have been used in dentistry for over 100 years. Unfortunately, they’re also unsightly and leak after a short time in the mouth, causing discoloration and decay in the tooth enamel around the filling. Even though they are approved by the FDA, some individuals are also concerned with having the mercury material in their mouth due to health reasons. Metal is also a good conductor of cold or hot, so certain foods can cause a lot of pain around these teeth.
We can help make your smile appear more natural by replacing amalgam fillings with a composite (resin) or porcelain restoration instead. Tooth colored fillings are less invasive to the tooth structure than a metal filling, because they bond directly to the surface area, requiring less tooth removal than silver fillings.
If you have a “gummy” smile or teeth that appear to be short, cosmetic gingival recontouring can change your entire appearance. Through delicate reshaping of the gums around teeth, Paradise Dental dentists are able to expose tooth enamel that otherwise was previously covered by excess gum tissue. This creates a longer tooth appearance with less tissue showing when you smile. When you smile, you will see more teeth and less gum tissue, a more pleasingly esthetic appearance..
Sometimes we can have uneven gums in different areas of our mouth that show when we talk or smile. This can make our smile appear crooked. Cosmetic gingival recontouring helps even the gumlines so that they are symmetrical throughout the mouth.
