Oral Pathology Exam

We don’t just look for indications of dental problems when we examine you, we also look for any signs of potentially serious systemic health issues. Oral pathology exams are a critical component of our care cleanings and include screening for oral cancer and other conditions.

Root Canals

When a tooth is infected down to the roots inside but still strong on the outside, we can preserve it with root canals. For this procedure, our in-house endodontist removes all the living tissue—nerves and pulp—from the inside instead of pulling the tooth. We then reinforce your tooth by adding special dental materials into the gap left by the living tissue. When followed by crown placement, root canals can enable you to keep a previously at-risk tooth for a lifetime.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings are a necessary part of dentistry, but they’re not just for filling the cavities in your teeth caused by decay. We take the esthetic qualities of your teeth into consideration when giving you fillings. Our team removes areas of decay in your teeth and then patches in the remaining space with composite fillings that closely match the tooth color. As a result, the teeth look natural and the fillings are completely unnoticeable.

Inlays and Onlays

If you have a small cavity or a tooth with minor damage, we can use porcelain inlays and onlays instead of resorting to dental crowns. These are similar to crowns, but they only cover a portion of the tooth. By treating the damaged area exclusively, inlays and onlays help to maintain the stability of a tooth and allow it to continue functioning normally. The porcelain matches the shade of the tooth enamel so that it appears natural and blends seamlessly with the surrounding teeth.
