Dr. Clayton Liesen
Dr. Clayton Liesen graduated from Quincy University in his hometown of Quincy, Illinois in 2014. He graduated summa cum laude with a BA in medical biology and a minor in chemistry. He then attended and graduated cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He is currently in his second year of his postgraduate training in Endodontics at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine.
He is a member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Endodontists, Massachusetts Association of Endodontists and the American Dental association.
His interest in dentistry comes through his family. His father is a general dentist who graduated from the same school in 1988. He also has a cousin who is a dentist.
He was drawn to endodontics because he wanted to help relieve patients of pain while still being able to save the tooth instead of having to extract it. He also found he enjoys the challenge of navigating through the intricate nerve pathways of the tooth.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Liesen enjoys working out at the gym and running. He is also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues… but we won’t hold that against him.
Dr. Liesen is available on weekday evenings and weekends by appointment only.
