A Year in review at paradise dental associates

Paradise Dental Associates prides itself on our consistent focus on community involvement, staff culture, and patient relationships. We love looking back on how much fun we have year over year! Although 2020 has presented a new set of challenges and changed many plans, we are excited to see what the rest of the year brings for our staff, patients, and community. Check out some of our highlights from 2020 so far, and join us in looking forward to the rest of the year at Paradise Dental

Holiday Giving, Inspired by our Doctors

2020 has an interesting year for sure and it’s had it’s share of challenges however, the one thing our team has been able to count on is our Doctors, Stephen and Helyne.  They have been so giving to our entire team throughout the year and have done many specials things through covid to keep our spirits up.

They were the inspiration in this year’s Holiday Giving.  On behalf of the Doctors, the staff adopted a child in need, through SPUR’s Holiday Cheer Drive and worked together to provide a special gift.

Our Holiday Zoom Party

To keep safe and in line with Covid-19 compliance, our Team Celebrated the Holidays in full Zoom style.

Drs. Stephen and Helyne gifted every employee with their own personal Party Box, full of gifts, snacks, and treats for the party.  We got comfy in our new Paradise Dental jogger pants and cozied up next to our devices, decorated gingerbread men, and cheers a very merry night away.

Volunteer Work in 2020

At Paradise Dental Associates, we give a piece of our hearts to the local community of Salem, MA day in and day out. In 2019 we donated thousands of dollars in free dental care to our veterans and spent time with our friends at ARC. Our team also participated in various walks, donations, fundraising, and collections!

Classroom Visits

In February 2020, Drs. Stephen and Helyne visited their Daughter’s classroom in Burlington to educate the students on the importance of oral health.  It’s hard to tell who had more fun!

COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Right after the pandemic hit, we donated our personal PPE supply to local hospitals in need.  Read more here as our efforts were featured in Salem News.

Canal Street Clean Up

In September 2020, in partnership with the Salem Chamber of Commerce, Paradise Dental Associates hosted a cleanup of our very own Canal Street. In 3 hours, 47 volunteers filled 25 trash bags! Together we covered so much area down Canal Street and the Bike Path that we were able to spread our efforts into cleaning Riley Plaza. We look forward to continuing this work for our community in 2020 and beyond!

Mission Trip Anniversary

In November 2018, our team took a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where we had the opportunity to provide dental care for the local villagers of La Romana.  This has been our most rewarding volunteer project to date.  November 16th, 2020 marks two years since our Doctors and Staff made that trip and have been sponsoring our adopted Family.  After spending a week in the sugar can fields making an impact on their health, our team saw an opportunity to make a continued difference and made a unanimous decision to adopt a special young lady.
Meet Nayeli and her Daughter, Genesis who are growing strong and thriving since our visit.

Metropolitan Dental District Open Forum

As Dental Offices across the State were looking for guidance on reopening during the Covid-19 Pandemic, our own Doctors Stephen and Helyne Hamelburg took part in the Metropolitan Dental District Open Forum discussion. We are proud that they were selected to share best practices and set the example for reopening dental offices state wide. Some of the topics discussed were implementing new protocols, safety compliance, recommendations and guidelines. They are always exceeding expectations, in and outside of our office.
