As we have seen in the past few weeks, COVID-19 cases have continued to increase, making many hesitant to go for their scheduled dental appointments or important dental procedures. Discussions have been held amongst medical authorities such as the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and have provided a set of guidelines and studies that have advocated for a safe and positive experience while having their regularly scheduled dental appointment/procedure. Our practice has made sure to both follow and exceed these expectations set by highly regarded organizations such as these. With these guidelines and studies released, we’ve decided to thoroughly follow these and go above and beyond with providing maximum safety for our patients and staff.
Thorough Sanitation of Facility
The ADA recently published a study that states that the infection rate amongst dentists during the pandemic has been less than one percent due to following protocols such as using more protective equipment and regularly disinfecting facilities. At Paradise Dental, we have taken these protocols and gone above and beyond when it comes to preventing infection within our practice. Even before the pandemic, We had taken these measures into consideration by utilizing high-end technology such as the Surgically Clean Air Filtration system to effectively prevent harmful bacteria from having harmful long-term effects on our office space.
Adjusted Screening Protocols
A large part of the reason why infection rate is incredibly low, according to the ADA, is the screening protocol that dental practices are taking in order to prevent the virus from spreading throughout the office. Paradise Dental Associates take and document all staff and patients’ temperature upon entering the building, each patient is walked directly to their procedure room where they immediately wash their hands to ensure that proper sanitation and safety is ensured for everyone in the building.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
As the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has stated, personal protective equipment (PPE) has been one of the most effective means of preventing the spread of the coronavirus. It protects both yourself and those around you. With this in mind, our practice has made sure to take this advisory to the highest degree by giving our staff top-of-the-line PPE to prevent the spread of infection for both themselves and our wonderful patients.
By listening to the authorities such as the CDC and ADA and going above and beyond in our own right, Paradise Dental Associates has created a safe environment for both staff and patients that make for a sound experience at our practice. Give us a call at (781) 230-7086 to schedule an appointment.
